The growing concerns in the multi residential sector of hazardous building materials has prompted RespondPlus to add Asbestos Abatement to our many services. We have spent considerable time completing the certification required to ensure its safe removal.

The Ontario Regulation 278/05 is specifically related to the safe removal of the designated substance – asbestos. RespondPlus is committed to following these regulations in detail along with registering each project with the Ministry of Labour as required by law. RespondPlus is also committed to the proper disposal of all hazardous waste which is transported to a designated landfill using a certified transporter per protocols.

Asbestos can be found in many of the building materials used before the mid-nineteen seventies at which time safer substitute materials became available, most multi residential condominiums built before this period have already completed a Hazardous Building Materials Report which should be available on site at all times;  depending on the location the remediation is graded as Type 1 Type 2  or Type 3 and special containment must be erected prior to any removal, along with laboratory testing, RespondPlus can arrange this for you.
